My chosen media are oil,
watercolor, acrylic and mixed media assemblage. I have worked over twenty
five years developing innovative and thought provoking art. I like to
bridge the boundaries between abstraction and representation transforming
life's experiences through my unique visual language. I want to create new
meanings from the everyday milieu, and capture the viewer's imagination.
My work is rich in content that relates to the world of people, places
and things. This synthesis of a multifaceted visual world is a reflection
of my lifetime of travel from childhood to the present day. Creative
growth and evolution are the experiences that drive my lifelong passion for
visual art and its power to enrich the human experience.
I have taught art to ages
kindergarten to adult and have presented lectures and spoken on art related
topics at U of IL Chicago, U of IL, Champaign, the Art Institute of Chicago
AVIC Program , Algonquin Public Art Commission and other venues.
